At the helm of the wine-making process at Spirit Hills Winery is Bjorn Bonjean, who is continuing the legacy as Head Winemaker/Operations Manager. This awarding-winning winery is owned by the Bonjean family who originated from Belgium. The Bonjean’s opened the winery in 2012, and through their vast knowledge and 7 generations of wine-making, created the most unique wines in the world. Bjorn has now taken Spirit Hills to the next level, and has refined the flower-wines to create a strong wine profile, giving the wines an excellent opportunity as food pairing wines. With 8 wines available at the winery, and 6 wines at liquor stores across Alberta, popularity is growing. Working side-by-side with Carly Nathe, the Sales and Marketing Manager, they are a power-team leading Spirit Hills Winery globally.

When Bjorn is not making wine for Spirit Hills, he spends his time in the outdoors and continuing the sustainability of their farm. He loves giving people from around the world a taste of the Rocky Mountain Foothills by creating the exquisite award-winning Spirit Hills flower-wines.
